Former first lady Michelle Obama has never been one to shy from the spotlight and now there are rumors that she could be eyeing a job that would place her firmly there for a long time to come.
This week Obama appeared on “The Rachael Ray Show,” a cooking and talk show that appears in the daytime hours.
“While discussing Rachael’s new book, This Must Be The Place, Former First Lady Michelle Obama and Rach bond over the outpouring of support they both received when they lost their beloved dogs, Bo and Isaboo, during the pandemic,” the show’s synopsis said.
“She also tells Rach that as part of the release of her Netflix show, ‘Waffles and Mochi,’ she’s working with the Partnership for a Healthier America to address food insecurity and to provide over a MILLION meals to families in need, through the Pass the Love campaign,” it said.
And she has an appearance set on the ABC sitcom “Black-ish,” which has been no stranger to supporting the Democrat Party agenda.
“Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) forces Dre (Anthony Anderson) to attend a fundraiser for When We All Vote so they can ‘make some new couple friends’ and ‘do their part in increasing participation in each and every election,’” a synopsis of the episode said.
“Obama is the special guest at the event and she accepts an invitation for dinner at their home. Cue the usual Johnson family hijinks,” it said.

But she is not going to become a sitcom star. On Friday night during “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News, author and journalist Raymond Arroyo said he believed what Michelle Obama wants is Oprah Winfrey’s former job.
“Another Democratic ghost of Christmas past has arisen in prime time. That’s right, for the new season finale of ‘Black-ish,’ that great comedian Michelle Obama is a guest star. They’ve released some pics of the appearance,” he said TO HOST Laura Ingraham
“I think I know why this is taking place. Remember, Stacey Abrams got an Emmy nod for just doing a little voice-over on ‘Black-ish,’ so I think Michelle’s trying to get her due here,” he said.
“Michelle Obama showed up on ‘Rachael Ray’ this week looking very much like a daytime talk show host. … She’s clearly Oprah in waiting,” he said.
“Oprah better be watching out. You know, didn’t they have falling out at one time?” Ingraham replied.
“They did,” Arroyo said.
“And now maybe we know why,” Ingraham responded.
“‘Get out of the way sweetheart,’” she said, either impersonating Oprah or Obama.
“She’s definitely slipped into the chair,” Arroyo said.
The rumors of a feud between Obama and Winfrey stem from a 2012 book titled “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House,” by journalist Edward Klein.
The rumors have never been proven or confirmed by Winfrey or Obama.
The New York Post reported:
During the early weeks of the presidential transition, as Obama stitched together his new White House team, he appeared to embrace Oprah as one of his trusted advisers. When she phoned, he dropped everything and took her call. They huddled over strategy. Of all of Obama’s unofficial White House advisers, Oprah had unparalleled access, input, influence, and power.
However, by the time Oprah and Gayle landed in Washington a month after the election, Oprah’s relationship with the Obamas had come unglued.
OPRAH had tried to ignore the ominous change in tone coming from the Obama transition team. As Barack Obama’s inauguration drew near, Oprah’s calls to Michelle went unreturned.
“It soon became apparent that something had gone wrong between Oprah and the new administration — or, more precisely, between Oprah and Michelle Obama,” The Post said.
“The problem seemed to originate from two of Michelle’s advisers, Valerie Jarrett and Desirée Rogers, the new White House social secretary. They resented Oprah’s meddling in their bailiwick. Among other things, Oprah had a plan to redecorate the Lincoln bedroom. She also had ideas about how Michelle could put more zing into White House social events,” it said.
“As the person who controlled access to the first couple, Valerie Jarrett saw Oprah as a potential threat to her power. If Oprah went unchecked, she would bypass Valerie and go directly to the president and first lady. What good was it being the gatekeeper if you couldn’t lock the gate when you wanted? And so Valerie set about turning Michelle against Oprah. Oprah was too close to the president . . . Oprah was acting like she was the first lady . . . Oprah didn’t know her place . . . Oprah was a bad influence . . . Valerie advised Michelle to ‘distance herself’ from Oprah and cut her out of the White House inner circle,” it said.
